The Man in Yellow is a tale of psychological/cosmic horror heavily inspired by the works of HP Lovecraft as well as staple games in the psychological horror genre like Silent Hill, and drawing influence from the 2010 era of RPG Maker horror games.

You take the role of Alex, a private investigator. After receiving a distressed call from the sister of a recent cold case victim, he rushes back to her home, the site of the tragic death, to uncover the full story as to what happened that fateful night. With nothing but your wits, you'll explore  and solve puzzles while evading the unknown dangers that await.

While the plot does handle some dark themes, the game's horror leans more on its atmosphere and building a strong sense of tension rather than extreme gore or overuse of jumpscares (though they're not completely absent from the game, theyr'e infrequent enough to not outstay their welcome).

The game is still in development, though the core game is mostly finished and a full playthrough with multiple endings is possible.  Feel free to report any bugs or problems in the comments section.  This is more of a passion project than anything, and is the first title I've planned on giving a full release, so it will remain listed as 'name your price' until the final release.

how many endings exist?

6 official endings as well as 3 "game over" cutscenes.

Awesome RPG maker horror game

The puzzles are amazing, although I found them a little confusing or with a certain lack of clues (or maybe I am just dumb as a rock) but the story more than makes up for it, certain parts of the game (The peephole) are really unsettling and it really gave me the creeps.

The mystery unfolds at a nice peace, never giving too much or too little information and although it is a really long game it doesn't  gets boring.

Keep the good work!

Awesome! Thanks for the feedback. Also with the puzzles, you're not dumb don't worry haha, the balancing act of finding that happy medium between too obtuse and way too obvious is something I'm still trying to get just right (though item descriptions do offer some nudges in the right direction in some cases).. I'll give the video a full watch now that I've got the chance.

Ok just finished the video and I'm kind of dying a little on the inside. Between the pantry event being bugged (I swear it was working before I had to emergency transfer the project from my old dying computer) and missing the other 2 optional encounters, you finished a playthrough without actually seeing the titular character. I'll definitely have to take out some flood insurance on that house though lol.

looks interesting, screenshots are a bit dark though

Yea, part of the final updates will probably be adjusting the brightness a bit and finding that happy medium. Most of my feedback has either been it's too dark or its fine, probably depending on monitor settings.
